Chelsea are visiting the Liberty stadium this Saturday where the Blues will face 17th place Swansea. The game will commence at 17:30. With Chelsea sealing their place in the FA Cup Final by beating Southampton last Sunday, the Blues will be looking to continue their current form. The Blues are also still desperate for 3 points in every match in a hope to overtake Tottenham, giving Conte’s men Champions League football next season. Swansea are not clear from relegation worries yet and every point will be a major concern for Carlos Carvalhal’s team.
Chelsea Form 🔵
Chelsea have sat in 5th place for many weeks now and are still hanging on to Champions League football hopes for next season, as the gap between Spurs and Chelsea was narrowed by 5 points after Tottenham’s draw to Brighton. The Blues are unbeaten in their last 4 matches with 3 wins and one draw coming against West Ham, this is form they will be looking to continue.

Swansea Form ⚪
Swansea currently sit just outside of relegation only 4 points clear of Southampton. The Swans haven’t won in their last 6 games with their most recent defeat coming from the Etihad, where the Champions Manchester City thrashed them 5-0.
Chelsea have faced Swansea only 34 times with many coming within League 2. The teams first faced each other in 1925 where the Blues lost 3-1. Since then Chelsea have dominated the Swans, winning 16, drawing 11 and losing only 7 against the Welsh side. The teams played earlier in the season at Stamford Bridge, the Blues went into the game being uneaten in their last 6 matches and won 1-0 through Antonio Rudiger scoring the only goal. Chelsea absolutely dominated the match with 65% possession and a whopping 10 shots on target, Swansea only had 1 shot and got none on target.

Team News 📰
Chelsea remain to be pretty fit with many players available for selection. Marcos Alosno will not be eligible for the game as his ban continues after his foul against Shane Long, making Emerson the likely man for the job this Saturday. David Luiz and Danny Drinkwater remain sidelined through injury. Conte could start Giroud and Morata together for this match with both players getting on the scoresheet last time out. Swansea’s struggles continue with a growing injuries list. Leroy Fer and Wilfried Bony out until the end of the season. Angel Rangel and Renato Sanches have recently returned to training giving them a possibility to feature in the fixture. Federico Fernandez and Luciano Narsingh remain unlikely for the match.
Key Players and Predictions 🔑
Chelsea have dominated their last few games and now have 3 back to back wins. Chelsea shouldn’t struggle agsint Swansea, a team with low morale after a humiliating 5-0 defeat last weekend. Conte’s side will also feel motivated after booking their place in the FA Cup final and the chance of Champions League football still on the cards. I can’t see Chelsea conceding and they should score a few goals. My prediction is a Chelsea 3-0 win ⚽⚽⚽
Chelsea’s Key Player : Eden Hazard 🇧🇪
Beating Giroud to Chelsea’s key player for this match is the Blues top goal scorer and man of the match last time out Eden Hazard. The Belgian is in fine form and will surely get another good performance in at the Liberty Stadium, hopefully finding himself on the scoresheet along with an assist of two.
Swansea’s Key Player : Fabianski – GK 🇵🇱
With Chelsea dominating the fixture so well last time the teams played it can be assumed that the Swans goalie will play a key role in the match. The Polish keeper was rated Swansea’s man of the match in the last time the teams played as well as being Swansea’s best player against Manchester City last time out. Keeping 9 clean sheets and miking the second most amount of saves in the Premier League this season Fabianski will be a key part of the Welsh side.
