Chelsea host Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge tomorrow evening, just 3 days after the Blues played Liverpool. Chelsea have maintained their 5th place position and after winning against Liverpool Champions Leg football is almost a reality. Huddersfield are sitting in 16th place, only a single win clear of the relegation zone making the Terriers still at risk of relegation. The game will kick off at 19:45.
Chelsea Form 🔵
Chelsea still sit in the 5th place position trailing behind Tottenham by only 2 points. The Blues have now won their last 5 matches, making the result look to be another Chelsea win. Conte will be hoping for a strong performance and to score a few goals ahead of their FA Cup final in a few weeks game. The FA Cup will be a must win for the Italian manager if he hopes to stay at Chelsea for another season. Chelsea started well in their latest fixture against Liverpool and maintained a crucial clean sheet as well as creating some decent chances.

Huddersfield Form ⚪
Huddersfield started their Premier League Campaign well but have struggled with form in there recent games. The Terriers have won just a single game in their last 10, losing 6 and drawing a further 4. David Wagner’s team will be going into this game with a defensive outlook after facing Manchester City away from home on the weekend, Huddersfield played very well in the game and drew the match 0-0.
The teams have met a total of 65 times in the 2 clubs history, the results have been pretty even in the past with the Blues winning 29, loosing 27 and drawing the remaining 9. The teams first met in 1911 within League Division 2 and the Blues won the match 2-0. Earlier in the season when the teams met Chelsea also managed to pick up the 3 points. The Blues won the previous match 3-1 away from home. The win put Chelsea into 3rd position and Huddersfield down to 12th. Goals came from Bakayoko, Willian and Pedro with Deportee getting Huddersfield on the scoresheet in the 90th minute.

Team News 📰
Many of Chelsea’s first team players remain available for selection this week, with Luiz and Drinkwater still being unavailable though injury. Alvaro Morata is also said to have picked up some form of injury and was not featured in the squad against Liverpool in Sunday, making the Spaniard look doubtful. Marcos Alonso has now served and returned from his ban following his tackle of Shane Long on, the Spaniard took Emerson’s starting position last Sunday against Liverpool. Kante played very well against Swansea a couple of weeks ago with Fabregas playing further up the field taking Willian’s place, this could be the case for this match. Huddersfield currently have a total of 6 players sidelined through injury including the likes of Kachunga, Kongolo and Ince.
Chelsea have dominated their last few games but have struggled to score many goals against the lower half of the table teams. Chelsea shouldn’t struggle agsint Huddersfield at home, however they will be tough to break down. Chelsea won’t concede and should score a convincing 2 goals. My prediction is a Chelsea 2-0 win ⚽⚽
