Chelsea Must Sign Him πŸ”΅

With the almost decided departure of second keeper Willy Caballero, whose contract ends in less than 2 months. Chelsea will need to find a replacement during this summer transfer window. Although the Argentinian isn’t the Blues first man between the sticks the the 36year old has still played a substantial amount of games for Chelsea. Making a total of 12 appeanrces this season, with many coming in cup games. With former second keepers such as Turnbull andΒ Hilario the Blues don’t tend to go for star names to fill the position on the bench. However I think that one of these players will be the perfect replacement for the outgoing Willy and will also be good enough if Courtois leaves this summer or gets injured during next season.

Fabianski

The first name on the list is the Swansea keeper, Fabianski. The keeper is the the Swans stand out performer for the majority of games and has maintained a tidy 9 clean sheets this season. The polish international has also made an incredible 121 saves, the second highest in the league. The keeper is 33 years old which is still relatively young for a second keeper with Buffon still being Juventus’ main man at the grand age of 40. His current market value is only Β£4.5 million and has just over a year left on his current contract, meaning the Blues could get the player on the cheap. The Swans are still not safe from the risk of relegation this season making the opportunity for Premier League football for the keeper next season would be an attractive position.

Forster

The second man on the list is a player that I have always rated highly. The English international stands at 2.01 meters tall and is 30 years old. Forster is signed at the relegation candidates, Southampton until 2020 but will be looking for Β a way out if the team does not secure Premier League football next season. He has only made 20 appearances for the Saints this season with McCarthy being in favour for the last few matches. Forster has a market value of Β£13.5 million and still shows stacks of potential with plenty of years left in his professional career.
